We’ve taken just over a decade to establish the University of Exeter Business School as one of the UK’s leading institutions. We’ve achieved this by striving to be the best we can be, bringing together inspirational and internationally-respected business teachers from around the world in an environment that combines historical and intellectual heritage with modern facilities.
Being at the University of Exeter Business School is a great experience. With our One Planet MBA, we believe that what we have to offer is something special: a cutting edge, forward-looking programme developed with leading corporate partners at a Global Top 100 University. In the UK we are ranked in the Top 10 for every subject we teach, and no other University in the UK has matched our records in those league tables.
The One Planet MBA equips you with the skills, the mindset and the knowledge to contribute innovative solutions to addressing the global economic, financial, social, environmental and technological challenges facing modern day businesses. It is built around the latest thinking and techniques from a wide range of management disciplines. A solid grounding in core business disciplines is acquired through our core modules while elective specialist modules enable you to specialise in your area of interest and tailor the programme to your career needs.
The programme culminates with our One Planet MBA in-company, consultancy project.
Study trips, company visits, group challenges, corporate challenges and team-based assignments for partner organisations complement workshops and seminars led by academic specialists in their field and business practitioners. A range of extra-curricular activities, such as our guest speakers’ programme and MBA workshops delivered by our corporate partners, run throughout the duration of the programme to complement your learning and provide opportunities to further build your skills, knowledge and understanding.

Angela Corredor-Oviedo:
“One of my best teachers once told me that minds are like parachutes: they only work if they are open. I saw in the One Planet MBA the possibility to see business from a completely new perspective. Unlike the rest of the programmes I had looked at, the One Planet MBA is a promise, a solution, and a journey to run business in a way that doesn’t harm the environment or society. That was very appealing to me.”
Professor Nicolas Forsans joined the University of Exeter Business School in late 2013 as Director, One Planet MBA and Professor in International Strategic Management. Prior to joining Exeter, Nicolas created and led the development of the MSc International Business at Leeds University Business School, securing programme accreditations and an enviable position in the Financial Times league tables.
Nicolas has expertise in the fields of international business and corporate strategy, and in the disruption of business models by emerging technologies (digital in particular). His interests revolve around the impacts of disruption, new business models and how innovative businesses can help solve global business challenges. His research publications have focused on multinational firm strategies, the rising importance of emerging economies in global business and the foreign direct investment activities (mostly through mergers and acquisitions) of emerging country multinational firms in the western world.
Nicolas also has a keen interest in digital technologies and their integration into programme delivery, the implementation of innovative approaches to learning, and assessment strategies that leverage the capabilities of mobile devices and enhance the experiential nature of the MBA.
