Programme Profile

The SBS Swiss Business School MBA provides you with a portfolio of managerial skills and business qualifications that will open up worldwide career opportunities.

Our lecturers are practitioners in the fields in which they teach. They enrich the MBA courses with management theory and examples from their own international experience and techniques. As a result, the MBA programme provides the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective manager in a variety of organisational settings.

The SBS Swiss Business School MBA offers a strategic balance of theory and practice. The course is structured sequentially to allow programme participants to build upon studied concepts and practices.

You will study with people from many different countries and a wide range of organisations and professions. This allows you to network, share experiences and discuss real cases that heighten your academic learning and increase your skills in the main disciplines of modern management. Additionally, the SBS Swiss Business School MBA is a double accredited programme.

Duration

The full-time MBA programme can be completed within four academic terms.

Entry Requirements

• Undergraduate degree (Bachelor‘s) from a recognised university or equivalent
• Applicants with an American university undergraduate degree must provide a minimum GMAT score of 550, or SBS Admissions Exam
• Fluency in English at a TOEFL IBT level of at least 90, or IELTS 5.5 band score (minimum), or SBS Admissions Exam
• Minimum of two years’ work experience
• Successful completion of a personal interview with our Admissions Officer, either in person or by phone.

SBS Swiss Business School was incorporated in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. The institution is nationally certified and its programmes are double-accredited internationally by the following professional accreditation bodies:

• ACBSP is a leading specialised accreditation association for business education, supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence.
• IACBE is a specialised accrediting body for business and business-related degree programmes at the Baccalaureate and graduate degree levels in colleges and universities.
• SBS is also certified by eduQua, the Swiss Quality Assurance certification for Higher Education. eduQua takes into consideration several criteria to ensure the quality of the institution, and this is reviewed on a three-year basis.

Student Profile

Since SBS began in the late 1990s, the MBA programmes have grown steadily. Most participants are in the 24-46 year age bracket and have more than five years of work experience. They come from a wide variety of organisations and have very diverse educational backgrounds. Women account for approximately 40 per cent of the total student body. Foreign student enrolment amounts to over 60 per cent.

Faculty Profile

Our teaching staff is composed of practitioners and holders of graduate degrees with a passion for sharing their field experience with the next generation of managers, as well as promoting out-of-the-box thinking on real-life issues faced by today’s managers.
