Schoology Selected as Finalist in 2017 CODiE Awards, Recognizing Excellence in Education Technology

Career Climbers / 23rd June 2017

Schoology, the leader in learning management systems (LMS) for education, announced it has been recognized by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) in the 2017 CODiE Awards as a finalist in five categories for the 2017 award season:

  • Best Higher Education LMS or Learning Platform
  • Best Higher Education Enterprise Solution
  • Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution
  • Best K-12 Enterprise Solution
  • Best Educational App for a Mobile Device

Schoology has won a CODiE award every year since 2013, for a total of eight wins in four years. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Schoology was named Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution and was named Best Overall Education Solution for 2016.

“We are honored to again be selected by educators and education technology leaders as finalists in all five categories,” said Jeremy Friedman, CEO of Schoology. “We welcome the recognition of Schoology’s growth in both K-12 and higher education.”

The CODiE award is considered to be the industry’s premier award distinguishing the leading education technology products in K-12 and higher education. Finalists are selected not by the SIIA itself, but by select judges from its membership, including industry executives and analysts, representatives of media outlets, bloggers, investors, and, for the education categories, educators and administrators.

“I am impressed by the level of innovation and creativity demonstrated by the 2017 CODiE award finalists. These products are opening doors for learners of all ages by combining new technologies with research about how people learn in order to respond to student and educator needs,” said Bridget Foster, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN), a division of SIIA.
