Can You Reach The Summit?
Chill Factore, the home of the UK’s longest indoor real snow slope, has launched a unique team building experience which will see groups take on a Summit Challenge in sub-zero temperatures.
Teams will rally together to overcome a series of challenges, testing both their physical and mental skills in the hope that they can successfully summit the mountain and make it back down safely.
These include activities such as crossing a crevasse-ridden glacier, in which the entire team must rope themselves together and move as one, as well as building a shelter in a matter of minutes in the middle of a blizzard to provide cover in adverse conditions, among others.
Adding to its varied corporate offering, the Mountain Challenge at Chill Factore is designed to create a sense of community within a group of colleagues, working towards a shared goal to overcome the elements and triumph together.
In addition, the ice-cold temperature at Chill Factore is considered to be a crucial factor for aiding productivity. For decades, researchers have been investigating the effects of temperature on productivity and cognitive performance – a ground-breaking finding by researchers at the University of Tromso set a precedence for the temperature debate, finding that performance is better in winter environments.
CEO of Chill Factore, Morwenna Angove, said: “We’re really excited to extend our corporate offering, giving teams the chance to improve their employee engagement, productivity and overall performance. As a business ourselves, we understand how crucial team building is. It’s important to us that although you may arrive at Chill Factore as a group of colleagues, you leave as a unified team.
“The Summit Challenge is open to everyone regardless of physical ability, so everyone can get stuck in and work in harmony with their teammates. Most of all, we hope that the Mountain Challenge will reinforce existing relationships, as well as forging new ones.”
Other corporate offerings at Chill Factore include the Sub Zero Race Adventure, challenging teams to race each other down the attractions in the Snow Park, the Team Sledge Building Challenge, in which a team must create a sledge with limited materials and no instruction, as well as ski and snowboard lessons, and airboarding and snowscooting.
For other corporate events, Chill Factore’s Vail and Verbier boardrooms have the capacity to cater for five to 16, perfect for team meetings and away days, while the Aspen or Anton Suite can host up to 50 guests each or combine to accommodate 100 guests, ideal for large conferences.
