Excella Consulting’s Internship Program Receives Top Honors from Vault.com

Excella Consulting, a leading provider of Agile software development in D.C., has been included on Vault.com’s “Top Internships” list for the second year in a row. The firm was recognized in four out of 13 categories based on feedback from a nationwide survey of students and employers. Excella’s program, known as the “Extension Center,” was ranked #4 for “Best Consulting Internships” and #15 for “Best Internships for Career Development.”

Excella’s Extension Center, located on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, provides high-achieving computer science students with part-time work experience while they pursue their degrees. Students work side-by-side with experienced software developers to build technical skills while providing remote software development support to Excella’s clients in the federal, commercial, and non-profit sectors. Successful rising seniors are invited to participate in a 12-week summer associate program in the DC metro area, and graduating seniors are invited to interview for full-time roles.

Excella’s program was ranked alongside global consulting firms like Bain & Company, Deloitte, PWC and Accenture.

Excella’s Extension Center (known casually as the “XC”) has grown so rapidly that the firm has established a brand new office at Virginia Tech. VIPs and alumni will gather on December 8^th for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.  “This new, state-of-the-art center demonstrates the bright future we see for Virginia’s rising technology sector,” said Cooper.
