MIT Sloan to Host First of Three Multi-School MBA and Engineering Events

MBA Blog / 19th July 2017

On Thursday, August 3rd, the MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program will host the first of three events with three peer schools to showcase the benefits and value of combining MBA and engineering study.

Harvard Business School along with Harvard’s John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Kellogg School of Management‘s MMM program, and the University of Michigan Tauber Institute for Global Operations will host additional events in San Francisco and Chicago.

The three events will seek to inform applicants about different programs that combine advanced engineering studies and MBA coursework. An alumni panel representing each school’s program will speak to how joint studies advanced their career and informed their management challenges after graduation. Attendees will also be able to network with admissions staff and other alumni from all participating schools and programs.

MBA graduates taking this path in their studies often take leadership positions in operations, high-tech innovation, or start their own tech companies.

“These three events will showcase the unique learning and career outcomes that students achieve when combining their studies at a top engineering school with world-class MBA education,” says Thomas Roemer, director of MIT’s LGO program. “We find our graduates are uniquely qualified to lead global companies and high-tech initiatives at every level because they have developed a special blend of leadership, management, advanced engineering acumen, and analytical skill.”

Registration is now open. Potential applicants are encouraged to register early, as space at each venue is limited. Event and registration details for all three events are listed below:
